DigiProd Pass has agreed to a partnership with Colebrook Bosson Saunders (CBS), as part of a global pilot programme for the creation of Digital Product Passports.
CBS is a global pioneer in ergonomic workspace solutions, designing multi-award-winning monitor arms, laptop mounts, and agile work accessories that are widely adopted in modern corporate settings. CBS has driven ergonomic innovation for over 30 years and, since 2022, has been part of the MillerKnoll Collective, a globally recognised collective of design brands celebrated for iconic office furniture and human-centred workplace solutions.
This collaboration marks a significant step in extending the pilot programme for Digital Product Passports(DPPs) into the workplace sector. It will strengthen DigiProd Pass’s expertise in the development of DPPs across numerous product categories, including batteries, garments, textiles, furniture, and now specialist workplace accessories and ergonomic solutions
Under the pilot, DigiProd Pass will work with Colebrook Bosson Saunders to explore how DPPs can be applied to ergonomic products such as monitor arms and mounting systems, items that are inherently modular, frequently upgraded, and designed for long-term use in demanding office environments.
The pilot will focus on how key product information, such as components, materials, repairability, warranty, and end-of-life options, can be captured, structured, and shared via a Digital Product Passport in a way that is both regulatory-ready and practically useful for all stakeholders, including facilities managers, workplace designers and specifiers, corporate ESG teams, and end-users.
Colebrook Bosson Saunders brings decades of expertise in designing and manufacturing ergonomic workspace solutions used around the world. As part of the MillerKnoll Collective, CBS combines design heritage and global reach with a strong focus on user comfort, performance, and well-being. Its portfolio of modular, component-based ergonomic products provides an ideal proving ground for Digital Product Passports.
By participating in this pilot, CBS is exploring how richer product data can support more sustainable procurement decisions, longer product lifecycles, and more transparent ESG reporting across corporate estates. DigiProd Pass contributes its dedicated Digital Product Passport platform, built to translate evolving regulatory and market expectations around transparency, circularity, and ESG disclosure into structured, interoperable product data.
The platform integrates with existing product information systems and workflows, making it possible to capture and maintain data throughout the lifecycle of furniture and workspace components, from design and manufacture through installation, reuse, and end-of-life. Together, CBS and DigiProd Pass aim to demonstrate how practical, well-designed Digital Product Passports can support real decisions in workplace projects, linking ergonomic excellence with measurable sustainability performance
For DigiProd Pass, this collaboration with Colebrook Bosson Saunders opens up a new and particularly interesting area: ergonomic technology supports and modular IT-focused workspace products.
It allows the team to test how Digital Product Passports perform in a category where components are highly technical, frequently reconfigured, and central to how people interact with their workstations.“This pilot takes us beyond traditional furniture and into the products that sit at the intersection of furniture, technology, and day-to-day work,” comments Sohag Salauddin, managing director at DigiProdPass. “That’s a space where good data and good design can have a real impact.” DigiProd Pass also recognises and values CBS’ proactive approach to the pilot project and commitments to advancing this emerging technology and greater sustainability.
By giving space to experiment and learn, CBS is not only preparing its own portfolio for future expectations on transparency and circularity, but also helping to shape how Digital Product Passports can work in practice across the wider workplace solutions sector.
