
We are glad to announce that DigiProdPass will be showcasing a live Digital Battery Passport demonstration at Automechanika Frankfurt, taking place September 8–12, Hall 9.0, Stand C65, hosted at the Midtronics booth, together with our partner Midtronics.
The demo will walk through outcomes from BASE, our Horizon Europe-funded project (Grant agreement No 101157200), showing how a single scan of a high-voltage battery or module can generate a verified transport risk classification and feed that result directly into a compliant Digital Battery Passport, a practical, real-world illustration of where BASE's work is heading.
A battery passport is only as useful as its ability to follow a battery through every stage of its life, and that's exactly what this demo proves. Midtronics, working in battery diagnostics and testing, shows how repairers and service providers can scan, verify, and update battery health data long after the point of manufacture. DigiProdPass's DPP technology is what connects these moments: capturing, structuring, and sharing verified data across manufacturers, repairers, and every other actor in between, so the passport stays accurate and usable at every stage, not just at production or at end-of-life.
This is the core of what makes a Digital Battery Passport work in practice: it isn't a static record created once, but a live thread of trustworthy data running the length of the value chain. That's the capability DigiProdPass brings to the table, and you can see it in action at the Frankfurt event.
BASE (Battery Passport for Resilient Supply Chain and Implementation of Circular Economy) is a Horizon Europe-funded consortium project building a digital battery passport aligned with the EU Batteries Regulation, and DigiProdPass helps shape this framework for real-world supply chains.
