By integrating the Digital Product Passport (DPP), Siren Furniture Ltd is moving beyond traditional manufacturing to transform its collections into smart, traceable assets. This pilot focuses on creating a seamless data bridge between the producer and the consumer and everyone in between, providing verified insights into material provenance and circularity.
The partnership seeks to establish a new benchmark for the furniture sector by addressing key pillars of the modern circular economy. It focuses on verified material provenance, leveraging the DigiProd Pass platform to track timber, textiles, foam and other furniture components, thereby ensuring compliance with international sustainability standards. It also emphasises regulatory readiness, proactively aligning with frameworks such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) to ensure products meet requirements for the forthcoming European Digital Product Passport (DPP). In addition, the partnership supports Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations by providing consumers with digital access to care instructions, repair guidance, end-of-life recycling pathways, take-back information, and reusable packaging options, thereby promoting product longevity and reducing waste.
